Strokes of Genius Mini Golf Fundraiser

Last summer, the Barnstable Foundation for Education unveiled Strokes of Genius, a mini golf course on Main Street in Hyannis. Proceeds from the course admission benefited the non-profit foundation raises money to support programs in the Barnstable Public Schools that are not funded by tax dollars.

Last year, local artists created nine different challenging holes with Cape Cod themes including lobsters, sea serpents and lighthouses. The colorful and fun course was once an overgrown, empty lot.

This year, artists have designed holes depicting Cape Cod traditions with the following themes:

* Native Americans: "The Spirit of the Land within Us"
* Cape Cod Farming
* Boating
* Marine Life
* Cape Cod Architectural Traditions
* Hyannis Community Center/Cape Cod Youth
* Cotuit Center for the Arts/The Arts on Cape Cod
* Cape Cod Baseball League
* Sea Shells

The course, located near the corner of Ocean Street and Main Street will be open for play June 29 through August 14 from 11am to 8:30pm daily. Admission is $5.
