Kidz Restaurant Review: Del Mar Bistro

Funky and tasty!

The lobster crab cake with carrot and cabbage slaw from the blackboard specials.

I would give Del Mar (formerly the RooBar) a B in grading.  When I walked into the restaurant, I immediately liked the funky and relaxing lighting.  I loved how the tables were covered with paper so kids can color with crayons (I personally didn’t color, but my 1-year-old brother scribbled).

For an appetizer, they gave us a delicious basket of rolls.  I loved them dipped in olive oil.
For the main meal, I ordered Fig and Prosciutto pizza.  I thought it was too sweet at first.  It’s not the kind of pizza I’m used to eating.  But then it got better as I ate more.

For dessert I got the flourless chocolate torte.  It was SO good.  They bring it with a raspberry dipping sauce.  It was the best dessert I’ve ever had!  My mom loved it, too.  So the meal ended on a good note.
