Cape Cod Cubs take on the Boston Blackhawks Friday, January 15th

Cubs back in action against a tough league rival this weekend

The Cape Cod Cubs return to their home ice at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 7:30pm. The Cubs, with a record of 31-1-2, will square off against the Boston Jr. Blackhawks (20-14-2).

This is a IJHL Super Elite match-up.  The Cubs are junior players are from all around the US, Canada and several other countries including Norway and Russia.

Tickets are $5 per person and children 10 and under are free with a parent.

Coming up--the Cubs will play their first ever PINK game on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 12pm to benefit the Caroline Fries Foundation. All players will be wearing custom pink jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game with all proceeds going to the Fries Foundation.

Caroline Fries is the late sister of current Cubs player, Corbin Fries, and the daughter of Cubs assistant coach, Wes Fries. Caroline passed away on January 25, 2009 at the age of 17 after a 3-year bout with cancer.
