Master Gardener Children's Gardens Program in Brewster and Marstons Mills
Opening still available in Brewster, or sign up for Marstons Mills waiting list
In the Master Gardener children’s gardens, children aged 8-14 are paired up one-on-one with a Master Gardener mentor and learn how to plan and grow a garden from start to finish. They learn how to make a plot plan for their own gardens, then plant, water, stake and weed around their plants. They discover new bugs and learn about plant diseases and organic methods for treating them. Each child also has the opportunity to work a garden of their own, selecting their
own flowers and vegetables to grow.
The Children’s Gardens are in Marstons Mills and Brewster. The program runs from May-September and meets on a weekday after school.
The Marstons Mills garden is currently full. To have your name placed on the waiting list for the 2010 season, please call the Extension office at 508-375-6697.
The Brewster garden is still taking registrations. Click here to download the registration form.

Wit & Wisdom
I never met anyone who didn't have a very smart child. What happens to these children, you wonder, when they reach adulthood?
